About the event
Nothing says summer like an abundant tomato harvest. As one of the top fruits grown and eaten in the U.S., it provides ample opportunity for numerous forms of preservation. This way, we can enjoy tomatoes from the growing season all winter long. Join Lexy Baird in this hands-on class discussing the basics of tomato canning. We will be creating a variety of salsas with locally grown tomatoes, peppers, and more, then safely process them using research based canning methods.
This workshop is vegetarian friendly, vegan friendly, plant based and gluten free.
